Volker Tiefensee
Volker Tiefensee (born November 7, 1956 in Gera ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Saxon State Parliament from 2009 to 2019 .
Life, work and family
Tiefensee graduated from the Polytechnic High School in 1973 after the 10th grade and then completed a two-year apprenticeship as a zoo technician / mechanizer . From 1975 to 1981 he was employed at the LPG Rackwitz . During this time he continued his training to become a master for cattle production. After a year for God in the St. Marienthal Monastery , Tiefensee served as a construction soldier in the NVA from 1982 to 1984 without a weapon . He then worked at LPG Badrina until 1990 and began a complementary degree in agricultural engineering, which he completed in 1991.
In 1990, the year of German reunification , Tiefensee was elected mayor of Badrina. From 1992 to 1994 he completed two courses for administrative employees. In 1995 he became mayor of the community of Schönwölkau , created by the merger of five communities (including Badrina) . After the conclusion of an administrative partnership with the municipality of Krostitz in 2008, Schönwölkau lost his full-time mayor's position and from 2009, Tiefensee exercised the office on a voluntary basis in addition to his state parliament mandate.
Volker Tiefensee is of Roman Catholic denomination and is single. He is the youngest son of the composer Siegfried Tiefensee (1922–2009). His brother Eberhard is a professor emeritus for philosophy at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Erfurt.
His second brother Wolfgang Tiefensee is an SPD politician, was Federal Minister of Transport from 2005 to 2009 and has been Minister of Economics in Thuringia since 2014. Since 2018 he has also been chairman of the SPD Thuringia .
politics
From 1989 to 1990, Tiefensee was a member of the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany . In 1994 he joined the CDU and has been a member of the district executive committee of the CDU North Saxony since 2008.
In the first free local elections in 1990, Tiefensee moved to the district council of the northern Saxony district and has been re-elected since then.
In the state elections in 2009 , he won the direct mandate in the Delitzsch constituency (constituency 32) with 39.8% of the first votes and thus entered the Saxon state parliament. He was a member of the Committee on Environment and Agriculture and the European Committee, as well as a member of the Presidium of the State Parliament.
In the state elections in Saxony in 2014, he again won the direct mandate in the constituency of Northern Saxony (constituency 34) with 46.9% of the first votes.
Honorary positions
Volker Tiefensee is chairman of the North West Saxony Landscape Management Association, chairman of the sponsoring association for school camps in Reibitz, chairman of the Badrina-Scholitzer Heimatverein and chairman of the Lindenhayner Heimatverein.
