Eberhard Tiefensee (born September 27, 1952 in Stendal ) is a Roman Catholic priest. He is emeritus professor for philosophy at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Erfurt .

origin

Eberhard Tiefensee is the son of the composer Siegfried Tiefensee (1922–2009) and a brother of the former Mayor of Leipzig , former Federal Minister and current Thuringian State Minister for Economics and Science Wolfgang Tiefensee .

Formation and priestly ministry

From 1969 to 1972 Eberhard Tiefensee learned the profession of chemical laboratory assistant with a high school diploma . He then completed the language course for ancient languages ​​( Latinum and Graecum ) in Schöneiche near Berlin , an entry requirement for the subsequent study of philosophy and Catholic theology at the Philosophical-Theological Studies in Erfurt and in the pastoral seminar in Neuzelle, which he completed in 1979.
