Volkersbrunn is a district of Leidersbach in the Miltenberg district .

geography

The church village of Volkersbrunn is located in the Spessart at about 310  m above sea level. NHN on the district road MIL 11 between Leidersbach and Heimbuchenthal .

history

In 1862 the district office of Obernburg was formed, on whose administrative area Volkersbrunn was located. As everywhere in the German Reich , the term district was introduced in 1939. Volkersbrunn was now one of the 35 communities in the district of Obernburg am Main . With the dissolution of the district of Obernburg, Volkersbrunn came to the newly formed district of Miltenberg in 1972 .

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent communities of Leidersbach, Ebersbach , Roßbach and Volkersbrunn were merged to form the new unitary community of Leidersbach.

Oddities

In the past, if you asked a Volkersbrunners what they would have for lunch today, you always got the answer: “Heit gits Pannekichelche!” In the nasty neighboring towns they only talked about the Pannekichelche and everyone knew straight away that they meant the citizens of Volkersbrunn.
