Caroline Pross

Caroline Pross (born July 19, 1971 - April 15, 2011 ) was a German specialist in German .

Career

Pross studied modern German literature , Hispanic studies and history in Munich and Madrid. From 1996 she was a research assistant at the Institute for German Philology at the University of Munich (LMU) . From 2003 to 2009 she worked for the historical-critical edition of the Complete Works and Letters of Clemens Brentano at the Free Deutsche Hochstift in Frankfurt am Main . After her habilitation in 2009, she was a private lecturer in modern German literature at the University of St. Gallen . In October 2010 she took over a professorship at the Institute for German Philology at LMU.

One of her research areas was audio book research. The special issue “Literature and Audiobooks” of the magazine text + kritik is dedicated to her.
