Volkmar Böhme

Volkmar Böhme (born February 25, 1944 ) is a former German trade unionist . He was chairman of the Schwerin district executive of the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB).

Life

Böhme learned the profession of plumber . He joined the SED and in 1972 qualified as a social scientist at the trade union college "Fritz Heckert" in Bernau near Berlin . As a member of the federal board of the FDGB and representative of the federal board and chairman of the works union management (BGL) at the natural gas pipeline construction USSR in Stryj , Böhme was awarded the order “ Banner of Labor ” level II in June 1985 .

From 1985 to 1987 he acted first as deputy chairman, then from 1987 to 1990 as chairman of the district executive committee of the industrial union Bau-Holz Schwerin. In 1990 he was briefly chairman of the FDGB district board in Schwerin and from March 1990 headed the Schwerin district office of the FDGB.
