Hedwig Haschke

Hedwig ("Hedi") Haschke (born August 21, 1921 in Rudolfsthal ) is a former German FDGB functionary. She was the chairwoman of the FDGB district board in Schwerin .

Life

The daughter of a bricklayer was born in Rudolfsthal (Reichenberg district). After attending elementary school , she completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked as a clerk and clerk . In 1936 she became a member of the Communist Youth Union of Czechoslovakia . In 1944/45 she worked as a stenographer for the Lord Mayor of Reichenberg and in an electromechanical company.

After her resettlement in the Soviet zone of occupation in Germany , she became a member of the SED in 1946 . From 1946 to 1948 she worked as a stenographer for the Rostock district council . She then became the full-time trade union secretary of the FDGB district board in Rostock and in 1951/52 secretary or deputy chairwoman of the FDGB state board Mecklenburg . After the formation of the districts in the GDR , she acted from 1952 to 1955 as chairwoman of the FDGB district board in Schwerin. She was a member of the SED district leadership in Schwerin and at times a candidate for the office of the SED district leadership. After studying at the university of the trade unions she was from September 1959 to July 1961 chairwoman of the trade union administration, banks and insurance of the district Schwerin. As secretary for social policy in the Schwerin district executive of the FDGB, she was awarded the Clara Zetkin Medal on March 7, 1969 and the Fritz Heckert Gold Medal on June 15, 1977 .
