history
Volksbank Bühl traces its beginnings back to the advance payment association Bühl, which was founded in 1869.
Legal bases
The legal basis of the bank are its articles of association and the cooperative law . The organs of the cooperative bank are the board of directors , the supervisory board and the representative assembly . The bank is affiliated with the officially recognized BVR Institutssicherung GmbH and the additional voluntary protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV.

Foundation, endowment
In 2005 the bank set up the Volksbank Bühl Foundation. The foundation capital had grown to EUR 2.0 million by the end of 2019. The average donation amount is around 300,000 euros per year. In the anniversary year 2019, the donation budget was increased from 300,000 euros to 600,000 euros for social, cultural and sporting engagement.
Crowdfunding
In 2013, Volksbank Bühl eG was the first cooperative bank to set up the crowdfunding platform “Many-create-more” in cooperation with VR-NetWorld, Startnext Network and the T-Systems subsidiary T-Systems Multimedia Solutions. By August 2019, 4,420 supporters had collected 175,763.27 euros on the platform. A total of 49 projects were posted on the platform.
Volksbank Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial group
Volksbank Bühl is part of the cooperative financial group Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken and a member of the Federal Association of German Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken (BVR) and its security scheme. The statutory auditing association is the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative Association.
