history
On January 17, 1892, 62 citizens from Horheim , Schwerzen and Wutöschingen met in the parish of Schwerzen to found the Rural Loan Association under the direction of Pastor Eduard Geiger.
The cash transactions were initially carried out in the private homes of the respective chairmen. In the post-war period, they moved into their own house in 1956. Four years later, these rooms were no longer sufficient and a first purpose-specific bank building was built.
In April 1978 the name was changed to Volksbank eG. In 2002 a merger with Volksbank Klettgau eG followed to form Volksbank Klettgau-Wutöschingen eG.
This established five branches and one paying agent. As part of the 125th anniversary of the bank, free WiFi access was made available to customers in 2017.
