With the merger of VR Bank Rosenheim-Chiemsee eG and Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Mangfalltal-Rosenheim eG in October 2013, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Rosenheim-Chiemsee eG was created. In 2017 the bank merged with Raiffeisenbank Höhenkirchen und Umgebung eG. In October 2019, a merger with VR Meine Raiffeisenbank based in Altötting was announced, creating the third largest VR bank in Germany.
