Vollrad Ludolf von Krosigk (born  April 24, 1620 in Beesen , Anhalt; † January 28, 1671 ibid), heir to Poplitz , Beesen, Laublingen , Gröna and Plötzkau , was a soldier and local politician.

Life

Krosigk came from the noble family Krosigk . He was the son of Vollrad von Krosigk (1577-1626) and his wife Ilse von der Schulenburg († December 21, 1627). After his parents died, Werner von Hahn and Levin von der Schulenburg took over the guardianship of him.

The Thirty Years' War hindered Krosigk's training considerably. In 1633, at the age of 13, he was employed by Christoph Vitzthum von Eckstädt as a page . After a few years he was enlisted and served in the Netherlands for several years.

From 1641 back at home in Beesen, he initially only devoted himself to rebuilding his estates.

On the recommendation of his guardians, Krosigk was accepted into the Fruit Bringing Society in 1646 by Prince Ludwig I of Anhalt-Köthen . The prince gave Krosigk the company name of love and the motto at first sight . The small cranesbill with round red and white striped flowers was given to him as an emblem . Krosigk's entry can be found in the Köthener society book under no. 452. This also includes the rhyme law that Krosigk wrote on the occasion of his recording:

Cranesbill which hides striped little flowers
from red to white, a lovely sight
as soon as you see him: my guess had to be
So called love: That is why people love
Something lovely soon: agrees with this
Nature too, when she practices loving:
At first sight, I also love honor and discipline
So he certainly brings love fruit.

On February 6, 1649 in Falkenstein , he married Dorothea von der Asseburg (December 1, 1624 in Neindorf ; † November 23, 1674 in Beesen). At the funeral of Prince Ludwig I of Anhalt-Köthen on February 14, 1650, Krosigk was specially mentioned as a guest of honor. In 1651 the Krosigk region of Anhalt elected him to their committee.

Krosigk had three sons: Vollrad Busse (1654–1719), heir to Alt-Beesen, Bernhard Friedrich (1656–1714), heir to Poplitz, Laublingen, Gröna and Plötzkau, and Levin August (1658–1686), heir to Neu- Beesen. Vollrad Ludolf von Krosigk died on January 28, 1671 at the age of 51 in Beesen and was buried in Laublingen.
