The Vordere Rettenbach is a right tributary of the Steyr in the Sengsengebirge in Upper Austria .
geography
Devil church
The Vordere Rettenbach rises from a karst spring , the Teufelskirche . It is a single exit point below a dolomite archway, the Devil's Church natural monument . The source rises on the left slope of the Rettenbachgraben . The catchment area is the continuation of the Lange Graben , the pits and the mountain ridge that adjoins mainly to the west. The Upper Austria Hydrographic Service operates a spring measuring station here. The average discharge is 1060 liters per second and fluctuates between 20 and 37,400 l / s.
course
After its source, the Vordere Rettenbach flows in a westerly direction, crosses under the Pyhrn Autobahn and flows into the Steyr, which is dammed up to Lake Klauser .
