The Sonnwendjoch is 2224  m above sea level. A. the southeastern foothills of the Rofan Mountains in Tyrol . Due to the exposed location, from the summit you have an excellent view of the Lower Inn Valley and the Zillertal and Kitzbühel Alps , which, however, is often somewhat clouded by haze in the Inn Valley. In contrast to the steep rock and grass flanks, the summit area consists of a large, almost flat area.
