The Vos'moy Mart Rocks ( Russian Скалй Восьмого Марта Skali Wosmogo Marta , German “Rock of March 8 ” ) are a group of rocky outcrops in Queen Maud's East Antarctic Land . In the Linnormen group of the Payer group in Hoelfjella, they tower 800 m east of Mount Dzhalil ' .
Norwegian cartographers mapped them using measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). Participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition (1960–1961) mapped them again and named them after the date of International Women's Day . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1970.
