Mount Dzhalil ' ( Russian Гора Муса Җәлиля , transcribed Gora Musa Jalilja ; Norwegian Dzhalil'knausen ) is a 2510 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Payer Group of Hoelfjella it protrudes into the group Linnormen on.
Norwegian cartographers mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). Soviet scientists carried out a new mapping on a research trip that lasted from 1960 to 1961 and named it after the Soviet poet Musa Cälil (1906-1944). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated the Russian name into English in 1970.
