The Vytautas Mikalauskas Art School Panevėžys (lit. Panevėžio Vytauto Mikalausko menų mokykla ) is an art school , a former high school and a conservatory in Panevėžys ( Lithuania ). There are 108 teachers (2013).

history

In 1940 Mykolas Karka founded the music courses in Panevėžys. In 1944 they were reorganized into a music school . 1969 Educational music school Panevezys out who was teaching school and the music school. In 1973 the name was given by J. Švedas. There was a department for music . From 1991 the school was reorganized, but remained as a higher school (from 1991 higher music school and from 1993 Panevėžio konservatorija ). In 2004 it was reorganized and divided into Panevėžio kolegija and Panevėžio konservatorija . In 1993 a study at the Conservatory turned adult school ( Panevėžio konservatorijos pagrindinė muzikos mokykla ) into a secondary school. In 2005 the name was given by Vytautas Mikalauskas ( Panevėžio V.Mikalausko pagrindinė mokykla ).

In June 2006, the Panevėžys District merged both schools and established an art school.
