Vytautas Vasilenko

Vytautas Vasilenko (born September 22, 1942 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician, former Vice Mayor of Kaunas.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Kaunas in 1961, Vytautas Vasilenko graduated from the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas with a degree in civil engineering in 1978 and became a civil engineer . From 1967 worked as a master in the research sector at the Kauno politechnikos institutas . He headed a sub-department of the "Tauras" football school in Kaunas. He has been a member of Kaunas City Council since 2008. Until September 2014 he was Deputy Mayor of Kaunas Municipality , Deputy to Andrius Kupčinskas .

Vasilenko is a member of the Tvarka ir teisingumas party .

Vasilenko is an official at Lietuvos regbio federacija and president of the rugby club "Ąžuolas" in Kaunas.

family

Until the age of 10 he was Vytautas Antanas Abromaitis. After his mother remarried, he was adopted . His new father's ancestors were of Ukrainian origin. That's why he got a Ukrainian family name.

Vasilenko is married. With his wife Galina he has the son and daughters Viktorija Darčanovienė and Julija.
