The Württemberg Chamber Choir is a mixed choir from Stuttgart that was founded in 1970.

The choir director Dieter Kurz has worked out a repertoire with the ensemble that covers large parts of vocal music: from a cappella music and oratorios from the last four centuries to vocal symphonic works in a wide variety of settings.

One of the main focuses of the Württemberg Chamber Choir is choral music from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The choir is also dedicated to contemporary music. He can refer to world premieres of music by Isang Yun , Dieter Schnebel , Karl Michael Komma , Hans Georg Pflüger , Axel Ruoff and others. His fields of activity also include participation in scenic productions and concert operas.

In 2002 the Württemberg Chamber Choir took part in the state act of the state government for the 50th anniversary of Baden-Württemberg under Michael Gielen . The choir is a regular guest at international festivals (Festival de Musique Sacree de Nice, Printemps des Arts de Monte Carlo, Festival of International Prize Winners Schaffhausen, International Festival Baden-Württemberg / Ludwigsburg Castle Festival). He is also a permanent partner of the International Hugo Wolf Academy for Singing, Poetry and Lied Art.

Foreign tours to France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Croatia, the Netherlands and Switzerland, television appearances and CD productions round off the work of the choir. In 2004 two CDs were released, one on the 200th birthday of Eduard Mörike , the other on the 5th anniversary of the death of the composer Hans Georg Pflüger .

For the recording of Hugo Wolf's choirs with orchestra, the choir of “Le monde de la musique” was awarded the top rating “Choc”. In June 2005, the doppelchörige a cappella work was Figure Humaine by Francis Poulenc with compositions by jazz trio Hübner Brothers & Schwarz produced on CD.
