The Wüteria mineral springs GmbH & Co. KG is a regional manufacturer of mineral water and soft drinks based in Gemmingen , a municipality in the district of Heilbronn ( Baden-Württemberg ).
history
The mineral fountain business has been family-owned since 1928 and is now run by Anke Völkel (née Wütherich) (managing director) and Karl Wütherich (authorized signatory) in the fourth generation. The family business initially produced wooden barrels and brandies . Then, sodas , bottled water drinks and roar filled, later brands Carbonated beverages such Libella and Afri-Cola and Bluna .
Products
A total of 38 different types of beverages are produced and sold, including lemonades, vitamin drinks, fruit juice spritzers and other soft drinks. Four springs were developed in the 1950s, two of which are available on the market today, the Wüteria Schlossbrunnen brand and the Wüteria Heiligenquelle brand . Another source was added in the 1980s, the Gemminger Mineralquelle brand . The deepest well is the Gemminger mineral spring with a depth of 135 m. The Wüteria castle fountain is 125 m deep. The Wüteria Holy source was m to a depth of 55 drilled .
While the Schlossbrunnen is defined as a calcium and magnesium source with other trace elements in a low-sodium and low-nitrite quality, the Heiligenquelle is recommended for the preparation of baby food due to its even lower sodium content. The water from the Gemminger mineral spring is classified as containing calcium, magnesium and low in sodium. The water analysis is carried out by the Synlab group .
In 2003, PET bottles (returnable bottles) were introduced in addition to standard well bottles . The percentage of returnable glass bottles today is around 80% and that of PET bottles around 20%. The capacity of the filling systems is 35,000 bottles per hour for glass bottles and 15,000 bottles per hour for PET bottles. Around 40 million bottles are filled annually. A total of 33 employees work at the Gemming location.
