mode

In the regular season, the six teams played 28 games each. The three best-placed teams then played against each other in the playoffs, with the team with the better goal difference progressing from both games. First, the second placed against the third placed, then the winner of this duel competed against the first placed for the championship title and entry into the Stanley Cup Challenge. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.

Season course

Before the season, the Pacific Coast Hockey Association was dissolved after 13 years and the two remaining teams from Vancouver and Victoria joined the WCHL. While Vancouver had some problems finding their way in the new league, Victoria managed to move into third place in the playoff semi-finals, where the Saskatoon Sheiks were eliminated with 6: 4 goals. The team then managed to win the WCHL championship and qualify for the Stanley Cup Challenge with 3-1 goals against the Calgary Tigers in their first year. Mickey MacKay was the top scorer in the league with 27 goals, while Bill Cook was top scorer with 34 points.
