The Wagner Solar GmbH is a German solar technology company based in Cölbe at Marburg / Hessen . It is a subsidiary of Sanderink Holding. The company was formerly run as Wagner & Co Solartechnik.

Products

Wagner Solar is a provider of a wide range of products in the field of renewable energies , especially solar thermal systems from our own development, as well as photovoltaics , power storage, assembly systems and energy technology. The company develops, produces and plans solar systems of all sizes, from hot water systems for single-family houses to solar power plants . The main focus is on close cooperation with partner craftsmen and planning offices.

history

The former company Wagner & Co Solartechnik was founded in 1979 by eight students and members of the alternative scene and the anti-nuclear power movement in Marburg and was one of the solar pioneers. Initially, the company was primarily concerned with the production and distribution of publications and information material on the subject of solar energy . Do-it-yourself collectors and systems for rainwater harvesting were added later. In the 1980s, complete systems with solar collectors , solar storage tanks and solar controllers were offered. The rainwater harvesting division was later given up and taken over by the Kettner Umwelttechnik company. The company headquarters, inaugurated in 1998, was the first office building in Europe to be built as a passive house . In 2012 the “Sonnenforum”, another energy-neutral office building at the Cölbe location, was completed and occupied.

The company had European branches in Italy, Spain and France, in North America and a cooperation in Great Britain.

Factory in Kirchhain

In 2008 the company opened the first energy-neutral factory for the largely automated production of solar collectors in Kirchhain, Hesse . The production and logistics center works in a CO 2 -neutral manner , as it generates the electrical and thermal energy required for the production facility entirely from photovoltaic modules , solar collectors and renewable raw materials.

On April 22, 2014, Wagner & Co filed for bankruptcy at the Marburg / Lahn District Court under file number 22 IN 41/14. With effect from September 7, 2014, the business operations of Wagner & Co Solartechnik GmbH were transferred to Wagner Solar GmbH. Wagner Solar GmbH is now run as a subsidiary of Sanderink Holding, under the Dutch entrepreneur Gerard Sanderink.
