Constituency Val-de-Marne XI

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The constituency of Val-de-Marne XI is a French constituency for elections to the National Assembly in the department of Val-de-Marne .

General

The 11th constituency of Val-de-Marne is in the northeast of the department and consists largely of suburbs of Villejuif .

Like the neighboring constituency of Val-de-Marne X , it was represented for many years by the respective candidate of the Communist Party , but was conquered by the candidate of the Socialist Party in the 2002 election . As in the constituency of Val-de-Marne X, two left-wing candidates entered the second ballot. The second-placed candidate therefore withdrew his candidacy, so that Jean-Yves Le Bouillonnec contested the second round unopposed.

On September 9, 2019, MEP Albane Gaillot left her party La République en Marche! , in March 2020 also the parliamentary group and was then a non-attached MEP until she became one of the 17 founding members of the Écologie Démocratie Solidarité group in May 2020 .
