Josef Waida
Josef Waida , Polish: Józef Wajda, (born March 19, 1849 in Niebotschau , † February 3, 1923 in Keltsch ) was a Polish Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Waida attended the grammar school in Ratibor up to Tertia , from then to Unterprima the St. Mathias grammar school in Breslau and the St. Marien grammar school in Posen . He served his military service in the Franco-German War . In 1872 he began to study law at the University of Breslau before turning to theology. After completing his studies, he could not be ordained a priest in Wroclaw due to the Kulturkampf in 1875, which is why he was ordained in Prague in 1876 . After the ordination he was educator in the province of Posen for eight years and then district vicar in Loslau . From then on he was a pastor and later a pastor in Keltsch .
From 1908 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Opole 7 ( Pless , Rybnik ) and the Polish parliamentary group . From 1922 until his death he was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
