The Walcott Bay is a large bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located on the eastern edge of the Koettlitz Glacier between the confluence of the Walcott Glacier and the Heald Island .
Participants of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named them in connection with the glacier of the same name after Charles Walcott (1850-1927), director of the United States Geological Survey (1894-1907) and Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution (1907–1928).
