Waldbillig ( Luxembourgish Waldbëlleg ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and belongs to the canton of Echternach .

Mullerthal
Mullerthal, which belongs to the municipality, is the center of the tourist region of “ Luxembourg's Little Switzerland ”. Particularly noteworthy is the valley of the Black Ernz with the famous Schiessentümpel ( Schéissendëmpel in Luxembourg ). To the north-west of the village are the ruins of the Heringerburg in the forest .

The name Waldbillig became known through the Waldbillig affair in 1985, which, along with the bombing affair, is one of the largest cases in Luxembourg's criminal history. Carlo Fett , the leader of the gang, lived in Waldbillig.
Economy and Infrastructure
The place Christnach is known for its golf course, but is also appreciated by holidaymakers. Waldbillig offers a school (Primaire), Précoce and Préscolaire. There are several businesses, including electricians, as well as part-time farms, small craft businesses, and other employers. The municipality of Waldbillig has two gastronomic hotels and a mill called Heringer Millen in the Mullerthal district and the famous Schiessentümpel.
