Waldemar Steffen

Waldemar Steffen (born November 23, 1872 in Hamburg ; † February 12, 1965 there ) was a German athlete .

In 1898 he achieved 1.84 m in the high jump . However, this height was not recognized as a German record, as only one line was crossed.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 , he was eighth in the long jump with his personal best of 6.30 m . In the high jump he shared fourth place with two other athletes who jumped 1.70 m. In the triple jump he didn't make it into the top six, in the standing triple jump he didn't make it into the top four.

Waldemar Steffen started for SC Germania Hamburg, one of the predecessor clubs of Hamburger SV .
