Singles

You can't stop me

The first single is You Can't Stop Me and was released on January 6, 2003. In Germany she landed at number ten in the single charts. Additional songs on the single are Scratch the Pitch , Dick , Trumpet Song and Plastic Mouth as G-Ball & Kaa -Mix. There is also a multimedia part. The single was also released as a 3-track standard maxi. The first name of this song was Road Song , but was later renamed You Can't Stop Me . The video takes place in the Wilhelm circus near Berlin. The content of the video is to get a band to play where they would never actually play. The video shows the guano apes in different roles. Dennis is a knife thrower, Henning is a fire eater and Stefan jumps out of the ring at the end of the video. The director was Joern Heitmann .

Pretty in scarlet

With Pretty in Scarlet , the second single from Walking On a Thin Line was released on April 7, 2003 . The highest chart position in Germany was number 51. The additional songs on the single You Can't Stop Me as G-Ball & Kaa -Remix, Pretty in Storm as G-Ball & Kaa -Remix and Pretty in Scarlet as an album version . There is also a multimedia part. It was also released as a 3-track standard maxi. This song is one of the band's few ballads and was recorded in the home studios in Hamburg. It was one of the first songs on the album. At the end of the song, lines from three older Guano Apes titles are quoted and completely integrated into Pretty in Scarlet . The video was shot in March 2003 in Potsdam. Here, too, Joern Heitmann was the director.

Quietly

The third single Quietly was released on July 21, 2003. The highest chart position in Germany was number 51. The additional songs on the single Cream Over Moon , Allies , You Can't Stop Me and Pretty in Scarlet (Live) . A multimedia part is also available. It was also released as a 3-track standard maxi. The Guano Apes were in a songwriting phase after a six-week break after the 2001 Bizarre Festival in October. Quietly was created by mistake or a slightly out of tune guitar. Henning Rümenapp played the weird squeaker on the guitar, which is how he got the title "Quietschy". At the end of January 2002 they played the first Quietly demo to their producer Fabio Trentini. In the first session for the album in March 2002 in the Horus studio in Hanover, they recorded Scratch the Pitch and Diokhan . The video for Quietly was shot on a poppy field near Berlin. Again Joern Heitmann directed.
