The Walmendinger Horn (also Walmendingerhorn ) is a 1990 m above sea level. A. high mountain of the Allgäu Alps in Vorarlberg , Austria .
Location and surroundings
The Walmendinger Horn rises on the north side of the Kleinwalsertal west of the Mittelberg, which is 1215 m high . To the north the terrain slopes down into the valley of the Schwarzwasserbach , to the south and east to that of the Breitach .
Walmendingerhornbahn
A cabin cable car, the Walmendingerhornbahn , has been leading up the mountain since 1966 . In 2006 the summit station and the valley station were renovated and a viewing platform and a sun terrace were built at the summit.
hike
An alpine flower trail between the mountain station and the summit cross leads past over 130 different plant species.
Winter sports
In winter, a ski area offers a total of 10 km of slopes with a 4.2 km long valley run. It is accessed by a gondola lift and three chair lifts or three practice lifts.
