Walter Hallstein Prize
The Walter Hallstein Prize has been annually from 2002 to 2008 in November from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , the city of Frankfurt and the Dresdner Bank lent AG to a person who is in a special way European integration deserves has made. The award is endowed with 20,000 euros.
The award ceremony took place in the Römer in Frankfurt as part of the Walter Hallstein Symposium. The symposium is regularly preceded by a scientific colloquium, the content of which is organized by the Wilhelm Merton Center for European Integration and International Economic Order at the University of Frankfurt am Main. The award is named after Walter Hallstein , the President of the first Commission of the EEC , named.
