Walter Adam (* 1944 in East Prussia ) is a German politician (SPD) . He was a district councilor for the Kelheim district .

Life

Adam fled East Prussia to Bavaria at the age of one . He made in Freising his high school and then made military service in the Federal Border in Fichtelgebirge . He studied geography and economics at LMU Munich with a minor in music to become a secondary school teacher. In 1969 he joined the SPD . In 1970 he married.

Walter Adam became a city ​​councilor of Abensberg and a district councilor for the Kelheim district .

In 2015 he competed against Florian Pronold at the state party conference in Hirschaid for the office of state party chairman. The video in which he announced his candidacy appeared on YouTube . He lost with 31.7 percent.
