Walter Alois Bauer

Walter Alois Bauer (born September 1, 1924 in Munich ; † January 14, 2014 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Bauer initially worked in the Reich Labor Service in the Sudetengau and during the Second World War in France , Russia and Slovakia , where he was wounded several times and was a prisoner of war . After the war he worked in Munich as a savings bank employee . In the summer semester of 1946 he began to study physical education, German and geography for higher education at the University of Munich . On October 1, 1951, he began teaching at the municipal secondary school in Burghausen , and was also a consultant for youth and sports. In 1966 he became both district and city council, for a short time he was also parliamentary group chairman before he moved. At the DGB he was chairman of the civil servants' committee in the Mühldorf - Altötting district . He was also a member of the water rescue service of the Bavarian Red Cross , from which he received his training certificate in 1947. On April 5, 1973, he replaced Rudolf Adametz in the Bavarian state parliament , which he was a member until the end of the electoral term in November 1974.
