Walter Bucerius (Upper Government Council)

Walter Bucerius [ buˈtseʁius ] (born August 14, 1875 in Calbe (Saale) ; † May 26, 1946 in Munich ) was a German senior government councilor, who was director of the Baden State Trade Office and later also a university professor and made a contribution to the Baden trade promotion acquired.

Life

He was the son of the businessman Friedrich Wilhelm Bucerius and his wife Caroline geb. Schilueter. Walter Bucerius was born in the district town of Calbe (Saale) in the Prussian province of Saxony . After attending grammar school in Bernburg (Saale) in Anhalt , he first completed a practical training and then studied from 1896 to 1900 at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . He then entered practical professional life in the private sector for two years. In 1903 he switched to civil service in the Baden state trade office in Karlsruhe . Here rose to the upper government council. As such, Walter Bucerius became director of the Baden state trade office and head of the Karlsruhe branch of the German craft institute. He specialized in business promotion, technology, heat management and rationalization.

In 1934 he received a teaching position for business administration at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. As a university professor he worked there until he died as a result of a heart attack.

In 1906 he married Elisabeth, born Reps, and lived with her in Karlsruhe, Bunsenstraße 18.
