Walter Cecil Crawley
Walter Cecil Crawley (born March 29, 1880 in Masham , North Yorkshire , † October 11, 1940 in Graffham , West Sussex ) was a British tennis player from England .
Career
Crawley took part in tennis tournaments from 1901. In 1908 he reached the quarter-finals at the Wimbledon Championships . His last appearance in singles at the Wimbledon tournament was in 1927.
At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he played in the lawn competition. In singles he reached the third round, in doubles on the side of Kenneth Powell the quarterfinals. There they were defeated by the later gold medalists George Whiteside Hillyard and Reginald Doherty in four sets.
