Walter Franz (philologist)
Walter Franz (* 1893 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † 1958 in Münster ) was a German philologist.
Franz studied German and modern philology at the Albertus University in Königsberg . As a soldier in World War I, he was seriously wounded. In 1921 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. As a high school teacher in Königsberg, he was a teacher at the Hindenburg-Oberrealschule from 1922 to 1943 , then a senior teacher at the Löbenichtschen Realgymnasium . Throughout his life he dealt with the medieval history of his hometown.
