Villebret is located about eight kilometers south-southeast of Montluçon . Villebret is surrounded by the neighboring communities Lavault-Sainte-Anne in the north and north-west, Néris-les-Bains in the north and north-east, Durdat-Larequille in the east and south-east, Arpheuilles-Saint-Priest in the south, Saint-Genest in the west and south-west as well Lignerolles to the west and northwest.
