economy
Due to its location in the Montluçon conurbation, Domérat is today an urban municipality with a healthy mix of economic sectors. But that was not always the case: In the 19th century, a large part of the income still came from viticulture , which ended abruptly with the invasion of phylloxera . Today only a few hectares are planted with vineyards, but you can still find the rare Gouget Noir grape here .
