Vena is a French municipality with 235 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Montluçon and the canton of Huriel (until 2015 Hérisson ).

Venas is about twelve kilometers northeast of Montluçon . Venas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hérisson in the north and north-west, Louroux-Bourbonnais in the north and north-east, Cosne-d'Allier in the east, Sauvagny in the south and south-east and Haut-Bocage in the west.
