Montvicq is a French commune of 720 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Montluçon and the canton of Commentry (until 2015 Montmarault ).
geography
Montvicq is located about 18 kilometers east-southeast of Montluçon . Montvicq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Doyet in the north and west, Bézenet in the east and northeast, Louroux-de-Beaune in the east and southeast, Hyds in the south and Malicorne in the southwest.
