Isle-et-Bardais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bessais-le-Fromental in the north, Valigny in the north and northeast, Couleuvre in the east, Cérilly in the south, Saint-Bonnet-Tronçais in the west and Ainay-le-Château in the northwest.
