geography

Mazirat is about 65 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand on the Cher , which borders the municipality to the west and northwest. Mazirat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Teillet-Argenty in the north and north-west, Sainte-Thérence in the north and north-east, Terjat in the east, Le Petite-Marche in the south, Évaux-les-Bains in the west and south-west and Budelière in the west and north-west.
