Nassigny is about 182 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) counting centrally French commune in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016: Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montluçon and the canton of Huriel (until 2015: canton of Hérisson ). The inhabitants are called Nassignaciens .

Nassigny is located about 17 kilometers north of Montluçon on the Cher and the Canal de Berry . Nassigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vallon-en-Sully in the north, Haut-Bocage with Maillet in the east, Reugny in the south, Audes in the south and south-west and Chazemais in the west and south-west. If the island of Corsica is considered part of continental France, the center of France is in the municipality of Nassigny . The A71 autoroute runs through the municipality .
