Theneuille is located about 33 kilometers north-northeast of Montluçon . Theneuille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cérilly in the north and north-west, Couleuvre in the north, Saint-Plaisir in the east and north-east, Ygrande in the east and south-east, Louroux-Bourbonnais in the south and south-west and Le Vilhain in the west and south-west.
