La Petite-Marche is located about 15 kilometers south-southwest of Montluçon . The Cher delimits the community in the west. La Petite-Marche is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mazirat in the north, Terjat in the north-east, Marcillat-en-Combraille in the east and south-east, Saint-Marcel-en-Marcillat and Chambonchard in the south and Évaux-les-Bains in the west.
