Saint-Victor is located about 78 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand on the Cher . Saint-Victor is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vaux in the north and north-west, Estivareilles in the north and north-east, Verneix in the east, Saint-Angel in the south-east, Désertines in the south and south-east, Montluçon in the south and Domérat in the west and south-west.

In the south of the municipality the route nationale 145 runs , which merges into the autoroute A714 here .
