geography

Vaux is located about 81 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand on the Canal de Berry on the Cher , which borders the municipality to the east. Vaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities Audes in the north and northwest, Reugny in the north and northeast, Estivareilles in the east, Saint-Victor in the south and southeast, Domérat in the south and southwest and La Chapelaude in the west.
