The inhabitants are called Deneuillois .

Deneuille-les-Mines is located in the Bocage Bourbonnais landscape , around 13 kilometers east-northeast of Montluçon on the Œil . Neighboring municipalities of Deneuille-les-Mines are Bizeneuille in the north and west, Sauvagny in the north and north-west, Villefranche-d'Allier in the east, Doyet in the south and Saint-Angel in the west and south-west.
