Sazeret is located in the Bocage Bourbonnais countryside , around 26 kilometers east of Montluçon . Neighboring municipalities of Sazeret are Chappes in the north, Deux-Chaises in the east and northeast, Saint-Marcel-en-Murat in the east and southeast, Montmarault in the south, Saint-Bonnet-de-Four in the southwest and Saint-Priest-en-Murat in the West and northwest.
Route nationale 79 runs through the municipality .
