geography
Saint-Priest-en-Murat is located in the Bocage Bourbonnais countryside , around 23 kilometers east of Montluçon . The municipality is crossed in the southwest by the Thernille river, which is also called Ruisseau des Brosses here . Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Priest-en-Murat are Murat in the north, Chappes in the northeast, Sazeret in the east, Saint-Bonnet-de-Four in the south, Bézenet in the southeast and Villefranche-d'Allier in the west and northwest.
