Walter Fritsch (politician)

Walter Fritsch (born June 10, 1922 in Bernried (Lower Bavaria) , † January 7, 1991 in Deggendorf ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and completing upper secondary school, Fritsch was a candidate for inspector at the employment office in Deggendorf from 1938 to 1941 . He did Reich labor service , took part in the Second World War as a soldier and was most recently taken prisoner, from which he was released in September 1948.

After his return from captivity, Fritsch initially worked as an employee at the Deggendorf employment office until he was made civil servant as an administrative inspector in 1955. He was also a member of the Association of War Disabled, War Survivors and Social Pensioners in Germany .

Political party

Fritsch was a member of the SPD and in 1959 was elected chairman of the local branch and subdistrict of the party in Deggendorf.

MP

Fritsch had been a council member of the city of Deggendorf since 1952 and was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there. He was also a member of the district council of Deggendorf . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1972. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the SPD Bavaria . From 1969 to 1972 he was deputy chairman of the Petitions Committee .

Public offices

From June 1972 to April 1978, Fritsch was the district administrator of the Deggendorf district.
