Walter Gottschalk (born November 10, 1893 in Leschnitz , † June 1952 ) was a German politician of the NSDAP.

Live and act

From 1914 to 1918 Gottschalk took part in the First World War, in which he was wounded three times.

From 1919 Gottschalk became involved in the nationalist movement . In 1925 he became a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), in which he took on a number of functionary posts in the following years : he successively became local group leader, district leader and Gaulish propaganda leader of the NSDAP in Silesia, then, from September 1, 1932, Untergauleiter in Lower Silesia, finally, on September 1, 1934, deputy Gauleiter of the Gaues Schlesien (April 9, 1935) and finally, on October 1, 1935, Gauinspector of the Gau leadership of the NSDAP (until October 1, 1937). In the Sturmabteilung (SA) Gottschalk was promoted to Sturmbannführer, Standartenführer and Oberführer (November 9, 1938).

From 1932 to 1933 Gottschalk was a member of the Prussian state parliament .

From November 1933 to May 1945, Gottschalk was a member of constituency 8 (Liegnitz, November 1933 to March 1936) and 7 (Breslau; March 1936 to May 1945) in the National Socialist Reichstag . Since 1936 at the latest, he has been mayor of the Goldberg community . He was also the holder of the golden party symbol of the NSDAP.
