Walter Grasberger

Walter Grasberger (born February 11, 1958 in St. Pölten , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending elementary school in Ramsau and secondary school in Hainfeld , Walter Grasberger completed the Francisco Josephinum Technical College in Wieselburg from 1972 to 1977 . He then enjoyed a one-year training as an agricultural consultant at the federal seminar for agricultural education in Vienna .

In 1978 he found work in the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture , where he was promoted to advisor in the district council of the Sankt Pölten-Land district in 1984 . 1986 Grasberger became managing director of the mountain fair in St. Veit an der Gölsen .

In St. Veit, Grasberger was also elected to the local council for the ÖVP in 1992. A year later, in December 1993, he was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna . Grasberger was a member of this group for almost ten years until April 2003.
